Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson continued his revolution at Eastlands as he brought to an end a hectic day by signing 4 new players – Javier Garrido from Real Sociedad, Brazilian midfielder Elano from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, Croatian full back Vedran Corluka from Dinamo Zagreb and finally Bulgarian international striker Valeri Bojinov from Fiorentina in a £20m plus swoop.

The former England boss brought his summer spending at his new club to over £30m, and says he’s delighted with the shape his side is beginning to take.
