Ferguson dismisses Lampard talk

Sir Alex Ferguson has laughed off suggestions he's in for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard during the transfer window.

Certain corners of the media had reported Manchester United were planning a £10m move for the 33-year old, who is seemingly out of favour with Blues' boss Andre Villas Boas.

But any rumours of an imminent arrival to Old Trafford have been brushed aside by the United boss, who claims Chelsea won't want to lose anyone as they aim to improve on an indifferent first half of the season.

United travel to rivals City on Sunday for their FA Cup 3rd Round clash.
