Lescott hoping for perfect season end

Having enjoyed a successful season with Manchester City, defender Joleon Lescott says he's hoping to enjoy a perfect season end with England.

Fabio Capello's side will look to consolidate top spot in the table with victory over Switzerland at Wembley, having won the reverse fixture last year 3-1, with Wayne Rooney, Adam Johnson and Darren Bent finding the net in Basle last September.

It's been a tremendously successful season for Lescott personally, having clinched a Champions League place and won the FA Cup with City. He's expecting a tough test when Ottmar Hitzfeld's side arrive in the capital, but says the squad is looking to consolidate its first place in the group.
