Redknapp thrilled at Real prospect
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp says he's absolutely thrilled after his team were drawn against Real Madrid in the Champions League Quarter-Final.
The North London side will visit Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday 5th April before the return leg at what promises to be an electric night at White Hart Lane the following Wednesday 13th April.
Spurs' refreshing naivety in the competition has already seen them come through a tough group, beating Inter Milan on the way.
They then returned to Milan to upset AC before holding the Italians at bay yet again in the 2nd leg, in a performance which showed another side to their swashbuckling approach. Instead of sheer pace troubling their opponents, it was a somewhat untypical defensive edge which kept them in the competition.
Redknapp is looking forward to Jose Mourinho's return to England, and knows should Spurs manage to progress, a potentially mouth-watering clash against Barcelona awaits if they overcome Shakhtar Donetsk.
