Howe sad to leave Cherries

New Burnley boss Eddie Howe admits it was a big decision to leave Bournemouth after more than 20 years at Dean Court.

The 33-year old has left the Cherries, having initially joined them at the age of 11, enjoying a total of 13 years as player and manager with the club.

He now replaces Brian Laws at Turf Moor in the Championship, after Laws was sacked just 12 months since replacing Owen Coyle in Lancashire.

His first game will be this Saturday as Burnley travel to Scunthorpe.
