Grant hoping for squad unity
New West Ham manager Avram Grant says he'll give the current squad of players every opportunity to prove their worth to the team, but hasn't ruled out going in to the transfer market.
The 55-year old took over the reins earlier in the summer from Gianfranco Zola, after the Italian failed to impress new owners David Gold & David Sullivan. Speaking to the media for the first time since his arrival from Portsmouth, the Israeli says he's already assessed some of his players over the past couple of months by reviewing their performances from last season.
West Ham finished a disappointing 17th in last season's Premier League, surviving the drop despite picking up just 35 points.
