Rio wants improvement
England overcame Mexico in their final match in front of the Wembley crowd before the World Cup in South Africa.
There's still one more friendly played next week against Japan in Graz before Fabio Capello wittles down his squad to the final 23 who'll be travelling.
Despite a comfortable scoreline it was anything but that, as Mexico at times kept the ball convincingly for lengthy periods, and it was somewhat fortuitous that England found themselves two goals to the good after 34 minutes.
Ledley King, making his first international appearance since June 2007, opened the scoring as he nodded home Tottenham team mate Peter Crouch's header back from a corner after 17 minutes, before Crouch himself got on the scoresheet when he headed home the rebound after Wayne Rooney's header was brilliantly saved by Oscar Perez in the Mexico goal.
Both those goals came from corners so it was no surprise to see Mexico reply from a set-piece themselves just seconds before the end of the first half, as West Ham striker Guillermo Franco prodded home after Leighton Baines had only managed to block the original effort on goal.
But Glen Johnson grabbed the headlines just two minutes in to the second half when he picked up the ball from Theo Walcott and curled a magnificent left-footed effort in to the top corner from 20 yards.
Speaking after the match, captain Rio Ferdinand said there was much to improve on ahead of the World Cup's big kick off, but he believes a number of players have staked their claim to the manager.
