Sir Geoff on non-league deal

England's World Cup winning hero Sir Geoff Hurst says the decision by Blue Square to renew their sponsorship of the Football Conference brings a lot of security to the divisions.

Now in its third year of sponsoring the top levels of non-league football, clubs have enjoyed arguably the most competitive top division in its history, with Stevenage Borough edging ahead of rivals Luton Town and Oxford United.

From next season, the divisions will be known as the Blue Square Bet Premier, North & South divisions.

And the former West Ham forward says that tier of football will benefit massively from stability and the continuing support of Blue Square.
