Rooney expects to be fit

In form striker Wayne Rooney says he's confident he'll play some part in the Nationwide International Friendly Match against Egypt on Wednesday.

Fresh from scoring the winning goal in Sunday's League Cup Final, the Manchester United forward picked up a minor knee injury and started the game against Aston Villa on the bench. He's expecting to recover however.

It's the final time Fabio Capello will see his players in action before naming his World Cup squad in May.
