The euphoria of Everton's recent revival took a big hit in midweek as they crashed out of the Europa League.
That came on the back of big wins at home to Chelsea and Manchester United, but David Moyes' side failed to capitalise on their 2-1 first leg lead before eventually exiting the competition 4-2 on aggregate at Spoting Lisbon.
Spurs on the other hand have enjoyed wins in their last two games, although preparations have taken a knock following the partial closure of their Chigwell training ground. Vedran Corluka and Wilson Palacios are doubts after picking up a virus, with a number of academy players also ill.
Younes Kaboul and Kyle Walker are back in contention after being cup-tied in midweek, whilst Roman Pavlyuchenko could keep his place after his recent goal scoring form.
Everton have Jonny Heitinga and Sylvain Distin back after both were unavailable in Europe, although there are doubts over Tim Cahill's fitness. Phil Jagielka, who made his first appearance of the season in Lisbon, is expected to continue his comeback off the bench.
