Lampard delighted to book World Cup place
A memorable night for all England fans as the team maintained their 100% World Cup qualification and guaranteed their place at next year's tournament in South Africa.
Frank Lampard, one of only three England players who played against Croatia in that ill-fated night on a rain-sodden Wembley pitch, bagged himself a brace as did Steven Gerrard, who played arguably his best match for the national side since the 5-1 demolition of Germany back in 2001.
The scoreline was repeated again this time against Slaven Bilic's side - with Wayne Rooney netting the final goal. Eduardo scored a mere consolation for the visitors, who evidently suffered with Luka Modric's absence.
But the Chelsea midfielder insists this is his international highlight so far, and despite Fabio Capello not being too congratulatory after the match, knows there is still a long road ahead before the final squad is announced.
