Barry eyeing Croats
Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry says he's relieved to get through the Nationwide International friendly win against Slovenia.
The 28-year old says the whole squad are desperate to play Croatia now and secure their status in the 2010 World Cup.
Despite a less than emphatic performance, Frank Lampard's penalty and a second half strike by Jermaine Defoe was enough to overcome the Slovenians, who pulled one back in the 85th minute when Zlatan Ljubijankic beat Robert Green to a near post cross to head home.
But all attention now switches to Wednesday's crucial World Cup Qualifier against the Croats - who of course beat Steve McClaren's England team on their last visit two years ago, and putting paid to any hopes of Euro 2008 qualification.
