Ronaldo: "We did not play"

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo is at the centre of attention again after his side missed out on the chance of claiming back to back Champions League winners medals.

The Premier League champions were humbled in Rome by a superb Barcelona performance, capped by goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi, leading to United's Portuguese winger admitting his side was second best throughout.

With the summer window set to open, Ronaldo is linked yet again with a move to the Bernabeau Stadium, with Presidential elections at Real promising to deliver him this time around. Last year saw the 24 year-old constantly have his name linked with the Spanish giants in a rumoured £85m deal.

But with United's defeat, Ronaldo may be on the look out for a new challenge and has already been promised again by Real presidential candidate Florentino Perez, who is standing for elections again after 3 years away from the club.
