Liverpool target Daniel Pranjic is also being tracked by Spanish clubs Sevilla and Real Betis.
The Croatian international left-back has claimed Rafa Benitez is keen to sign him from Heerenveen this summer for around eight million euros.
However, reports in Spain claim Sevilla and Real Betis both had the player scouted at the Dutch Cup final, which Heerenveen won on penalties.
Benitez is keen to strengthen the left-back slot, but with transfer funds relatively scarce at Anfield, he will be reluctant to be dragged into a bidding war for the 27-year-old.
