Cristiano Ronaldo made a goalscoring return in his first start of the season for Sir Alex Ferguson in midweek. It means the squad is practically back to full strength, barring the absence of midfielder Michael Carrick, with Nemanja Vidic back in the running following his suspension for the sending off at Liverpool.

Bolton Wanderers are the visitors this week as United look for only their second win of the season. It is, of course, only the second home match the team have had all season, and Bolton come off the back of a bad run of results which sees them without a win in 4 games.

Ferguson is pleased with the strength of the squad going in to the weekend as the Champions look to kick start their season.
