The Paralympic Games proved to be an unprecedented success for the ParalympicsGB team. Emulating their finish of 2nd in Athens four years ago, the team smashed their previous best of 35 gold medals and 94 in total by picking up 42 golds, which contributed to an overall 102 medals from the 206 strong team.
Sophie Christiansen picked up 3 medals in total in the Equestrian, two golds and a silver in her second Paralympic appearance. The 20 year-old from Berkshire won gold in the Freestyle Test Grade & Team events before adding 2nd place in the Individual Championship Test.
On her return to London yesterday, she said it's been an unreal experience for her and she's absolutely ecstatic over winning her medals.
