Listen - Man City 1-3 Chelsea - Scolari plays down Terry sending off
Listen - LUIZ FELIPE SCOLARI POST-CITY INTERVIEW
It was billed as a case of New Money versus Old Money at the City of Manchester Stadium, as Manchester City's new found wealth took on Chelsea. For 5 years no one has come close to Roman Abrahamovich's billions until just a fortnight ago, when Manchester City were taken over by a group worth 10 times more than the Russian.
Robinho scored on his debut for the home side, before Ricardo Carvalho's instant reply was followed up in the second half by a superb Frank Lampard strike and Nicolas Anelka's second of the season to finish it off.
On the sidelines, Luiz Felipe Scolari was evidently delighted with what he saw, as the visitors showed that despite City outbidding them for Robinho, they still have a long way to go to match the big boys.
