Listen - Blackburn 0-4 Arsenal - Wenger praises Walcott nerve

Listen - ARSENE WENGER POST-BLACKBURN INTERVIEW

All eyes were on Theo Walcott after his midweek international exploits but it was Emmanuel Adebayor who stole all the headlines. The Togo striker's first league goals of the season came in the form of a hat-trick as Arsenal ran rampant at Ewood Park.

Robin Van Persie opened the scoring, finishing off a Walcott throughball, before Adebayor netted his first on the stroke of half time - a killer blow to the home team. A penalty following a foul on Emmanuel Eboue made it two for Adebayor and three for Arsenal before the striker signed off his hat-trick by beating the offside trap and rounding Paul Robinson to finish it off.

Arsene Wenger, speaking after the match, said he was delighted with the performance and how Walcott responded to the extra focus put on him. Moreso, the Gunners boss said any win would have been welcome in the North West, let alone a hammering!
