Listen - WC 2010 Qualifier - Andorra v England - Defoe calls for patience
Listen - Jermaine Defoe press-conference
The World Cup qualifiers are upon us and after the disappointment of the failed Euro 2008 campaign, a new page and new manager have appeared for England.
Fabio Capello gets ready to take charge of his first competitive game as England travel to Barcelona to face the minnows from Andorra. In the ill-fated Euro 2008 qualifiers England still managed to run riot by winning 5-0 on home soil and 3-0 in Spain.
Despite the relatively small problems Andorra are expected to present, striker Jermaine Defoe has called for patience and discipline as they prepare for the match. The Portsmouth forward, enjoying a new lease of life under Capello, has however rejected calls that his inclusion contributed to Michael Owen's omission, who was left out despite being fully fit.
