One of the longest running transfer sagas of the summer has finally come to an end as Frank Lampard committed his future to the club for the rest of his career. Linked with a reunion with former boss Jose Mourinho at Inter, the midfielder admitted the thought of leaving London had crossed his mind due to personal issues.

A delighted Peter Kenyon joined Lampard in a media conference to announce the decision and outline the reasons for staying, with the relationship formed with Deco proving to be a key factor.
