Speaking to Chelsea TV, chairman Bruce Buck hailed the appointment of Luiz Felipe Scolari as an exciting time for the club. The media reaction was one of surprise, at how good the Brazilian's English was already and what he had to say would have made a very good impression on the watching Blues' fans.

One topic surrounding the club at the moment is the future of Frank Lampard. The 30-year old midfielder is in the last year of his contract and is subject to interest from Inter Milan and his ex-boss Jose Mourinho.

Buck admits that they have twice been contacted by the Italian giants, however both approaches have been rejected.

There is also talk of Chelsea's transfer activity for the summer, with players expected to leave.
