The managerial merry-go-round is in full flow and the sheer speed of the dismissals and appointments are what has taken everybody by surprise.

Last weekend, Mark Hughes was happy in his job at Ewood Park and yet tipped as one of the favourites for the job at Chelsea. Sven Goran Eriksson has been a dead man walking ever since Thaksin Shinawatra made a massive u-turn over his approval of the team since January, but now it's all sorted.

First, Sven was sacked on Monday morning. Then Mark Hughes asked his Blackburn board for permission to speak to Man City. On Tuesday, Sven celebrated his multi-million pay off by becoming Mexico's national team manager, less than a year since his return to club football. By Wednesday morning and Hughes was put in at Eastlands.

So, what does the new manager think? He's delighted to be at the club and is looking forward to bringing one or two players to Eastlands ... including Ronaldinho!
