John Terry leapt highest for England to go some way in erasing his personal heartache for club last week as he headed in a typical David Beckham free-kick at Wembley before Steven Gerrard made sure of the win before the hour mark in Fabio Capello's third game in charge.

The USA offered little resistence as they build up to World Cup qualifiers with David James enjoying a comfortable evening in goal, whilst Gerrard in the middle deservedly earned his man-of-the-match award.

So with the trip to Trinidad & Tobago in mind, Chris Hull, spokesman for the official England team sponsors Nationwide, says there's plenty for Capello to be happy about despite a laborious performance.
