Moving a press conference generally doesn't attract much attention. Kevin Keegan though is a stickler for his Friday media briefings ahead of the weekend game, this time to finish the season at Everton, but it's his comments from earlier in the week which made the headlines all week after their loss to Chelsea at St James' Park on Monday.

Keegan's claims that he couldn't bridge the gap between his side and the so-called 'Top 4' drew a lot of interest and even moreso, the possible reaction of the man who coaxed him out of retirement, Mike Ashley.

It seems to have come to a head with the Berkshire-born billionaire summoning 'King Kev' down to London, and alter his media duties to discuss his thoughts.

Despite starting off on the Everton match itself, the talk quickly moved on to the subject of his outlook and although amending his initial comments on catching up Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, Keegan believes the side need to go 'global' and continue plucking away and try to get the best possible players available after missing out on Luka Modric, who joined Spurs.
