Two years ago Barcelona beat two English teams in Chelsea and Arsenal en route to their Champions League glory. Two years later and they've suffered successive exits from the competition to the other two main stayers from England in Liverpool and now Manchester United.

Paul Scholes strike on 13 minutes was enough to separate the two teams with the only goal in 180 minutes of Semi-Final action - and what a strike it was!

Despite Lionel Messi putting in a superb effort over the course of the match, Barcelona lacked a cutting edge. Samuel Eto'o was disappointing whilst Thierry Henry missed probably their best chance of the night when he headed a corner straight at Edwin Van Der Sar in goal.

The pressure is mounting on Frank Rijkaard in the Barca hot-seat, with no trophies to show since that triumphant night in Paris but the Dutchman came out after the match to criticise Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

Rijkaard believed the Premier League leaders, who booked their first final place in the competition in 9 long years, were too defensive over both legs with his own team showing much more attacking intent.

However, he is adamant he will not step down from his post, despite constant speculation surrounding his position.
