There can be no denying it - this week at Anfield has hardly been one of its proudest. Ever since the victory over Arsenal in the Champions League it seems to be one thing after another, with co-owner Tom Hicks demanding the resignation of Chief Executive Rick Parry in the latest episode of melancholy on Merseyside.

Following last week's surprising letter from Hicks, the club shelved their planned media gathering before they faced Blackburn Rovers. So following a few more battles in the war of words Hicks has with George Gillett, there was plenty to be discussed in this week's press conference!

Manager Rafa Benitez has been less than happy with the ongoings at his club but is reluctant to say whether he has spoken to his under-fire Chief Executive this week.

However, Benitez does admit he fully intends to still be at Anfield by the end of his contract.
