Speaking at a SponsoredByYou.com event, hosted by Scotland team sponsors Nationwide, Darren Fletcher, the Scotland and Manchester United midfielder discusses the influence of George Burley on the squad so far.

The former Ipswich, Hearts & Southampton manager took over in February after Alex McLeish's surprising departure, having come so close to qualifying for Euro 2008. Burley's first game in charge was a 1-1 draw against England's conquerors in the group stage Croatia, with Kenny Miller scoring the first goal under Burley's reign.

Fletcher picked up an injury in that match, which has forced him to miss the subsequent three weeks of club football since, with the versatile 24-year old set to sit out the rest of the season.

But Fletch hailed Burley's impact and believes with the strong squad already in place, it can only be progress from here on in.
