Listen - Champions League Quarter-Final 2nd Leg: Man Utd (3) 1-0 (0) Roma - 100 up for Giggs

Listen to Ryan Giggs post-Roma interview!

A night that should have been a straight-forward formality saw a few scares as Manchester United eventually eased through to the semi-final of the Champions League for the second season in a row.

Despite early dominance from the home team it was Roma who really should have taken the lead after being gifted a lifeline back into the tie. Wes Brown was adjudged to have brought down Brazilian winger Mancini inside the box and Daniele De Rossi blasted his spot kick over the bar. Had that gone in and maybe Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't have decided to keep Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench the whole match - Carlos Tevez heading home from Owen Hargreaves with 20 minutes to go settled vindicated that decision as the tie was settled beyond all doubt.

But the match will be remembered for two things. First, club captain Gary Neville's return to the side following a year out through injury and the evergreen Ryan Giggs making his 100th career Champions League appearance.

Speaking after the match, Giggs says it's quite a feat.
