Listen - Man City 0-2 Chelsea - Grant ups the pressure on Fergie
Listen to Avram Grant's post-Man City press conference!
For a man much criticised throughout his so far brief tenure at Stamford Bridge, Avram Grant was pleased to see his side cut Manchester United's lead at the top and firmly cemented themselves in second place.
It was United's rivals City who provided Chelsea's latest test. Memories may have returned to last October when the Blues' inflicted Sven Goran Eriksson's biggest defeat in management when they triumphed 6-0 in London. Although that score was never threatened, it was still three points for Chelsea as they took advantage of yet another Arsenal draw to secure their 2nd place position.
Richard Dunne's first half own goal and Salomon Kalou's strike early in the second guaranteed Grant's men bounced back from their midweek Turkish disappointment in a professional manner ahead of their midweek Champions League return match against Fenerbahce.
Speaking after the match, Grant said he's happy to put further pressure on Manchester United and believes his side have what it takes to overtake the Champions.
