Listen - Two Jonnies Paddy Power Podcast - 39 league games ARE THEY MAD? Or Genius?
The story may have broken late in the week but it's all people can discuss at the moment. The Premier League proposal to add one more game on to the season and for that match to be played abroad.
As expected, the initial reaction to the move has been lukewarm to say the least, with many fans believing this is just another example of putting money ahead of fans. Some worry about the implications of having an extra game. What happens if a team who need to win to stay up end up playing Manchester United or Arsenal for the third time in a season in Sydney, whilst another team in a similar situation need to beat Fulham in Los Angeles to avoid the drop?
We've got both sides of the story. The Two Jonnies can see the opportunities arising from the proposal, but Paul Ryan from online bookmakers Paddy Power joins them as always as he takes up the role as the voice of the silent majority!
Let us not forget there's a full Premier League programme over the weekend with an emotional Old Trafford witnessing the Manchester Derby fifty years this week since the Munich air disaster, whilst Liverpool travel to Chelsea.
Undefeated in two Derby County host Tottenham at Pride Park and can Reading stop the rot of 6 defeats in 7 when they visit Champions League hopefuls Everton?
All this and so much more in yet another BUMPER EDITION Premier League Podcast
