Listen - England v Switzerland - Nationwide Player of the Year Gerrard: 'We don't fear Fab'
The final England squad gathered together for the first time at the weekend where they finally got to know the new man in charge.
Possible candidate for the captaincy Steven Gerrard spoke to the media for the first time under the new regime but insists he does not fear the strict Italian. New methods are part and parcel of new managers coming in, however the Liverpool midfielder, who has captained England on six occasions, says the squad need to respect a man with so much pedigree and adapt to his ways as quickly as possible before the match against Switzerland at Wembley.
With the World Cup 2010 qualifiers starting in September, Gerrard believes each player needs to stake his claim to the boss before the start of next season.
