Listen - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay: Reading 0-1 Tottenham - Coppell deflated at exit

After 14 goals in their previous two meetings Reading and Spurs failed to live up to the hype on a cold night in Berkshire, rarely warmed up by goal mouth incidents.

Robbie Keane's 15th minute goal was enough to win the match for Spurs as both sides made wholesale changes from the weekend. Reading were disappointing bar the last 10 minutes of the game, as Stephen Hunt smacked the bar and Simon Cox missed a free header in front of goal. Spurs had enjoyed the better of the first half and 2 chances for Defoe could have extended their lead. The second half for them was tepid and apart from a Kevin Prince Boateng shot which went wide never looked like adding to the score until Steed Malbranque's injury time volley was brilliantly tipped on to the bar by Adam Federici.

Royals' boss Steve Coppell, speaking after the match, said he was extremely disappointed not to win the game but was adamant that their performance showed they took the FA Cup seriously.

Next up for Spurs is an easy trip to Old Trafford.
